The safest mosquito larvicide that is highly effective against larvae of all species of mosquito. It can be used in a variety of breeding sites i.e. in potable clean water to highly polluted water. It contains 1% Temephos, an organo-phosphorous group of insecticides, as an active ingredient.
Granular formulation of LARCONTM 1%SG is specially developed to meet the requirement of controlling mosquito larvae in intra domestic breeding sites, viz., water coolers, refridgerator defrost treys, over head tanks, flower pots, rain water collected in the terraces, etc.
Mode of action
It acts as a contact poison. Once applied to breeding site, it spreads well within the water body. It remains effective for one week.

LARCONTM 1%SG is very safe to human and other non-target animals.
Application
For intra-domestic breeding sites
5 gm per small intra-domestic breeding site, as mentioned above
For general breeding sites
5-10 kg. of LARCONTM 1%SG is to be applied over one hectare of clean water breeding sites, viz., shallow ponds, lakes, woodland ponds, etc.
10-20 kg of LARCONTM 1%SG is to be applied over one hectare of moderately polluted water breeding sites, viz., tidal water, marshes, swamps, etc.
20-50 kg. of LARCONTM 1%SG is to be applied over one hectare of heavily polluted water breeding sites, viz., drains, septic tanks, etc.
